The 80's Called...

... they want their clothes back!

Yesterday my little sister and I went to Gateway to see if we could find her a little cover jacket for a cocktail dress she has. We started off in Forever 21 which has really interesting clothes for starters anyway. Don't get me wrong, I have found some great stuff there, but most of the clothing is ridiculous. Anyway, this is when I started noticing a trend. Fluorescent colors. Tight pants. (I find it interesting that tapered pants are now called "Skinny Jeans" instead of "Mom Jeans".)

Then in Old Navy I started noticing more Fluorescent colors. Hot Pink, Spearmint Green, Electric Blue.

We finally ended up in a little store called Wet Seal and we found this:

I was busting up laughing in the store. Acid washed tapered jeans in Electric Blue, Spearmint Green and Hot Pink leg warmers (look on back wall), tank tops that looked stretched out, paint splattered shirts and jewelry, stretch pants, and high top sneakers. ARE THEY SERIOUS!!!

I was looking frantically around wondering were the bejeweled Tee-Shirt Slide was for the V-neck, paint-streaked, off one shoulder shirt (with sports bra underneath of course).

I am just waiting for the 80's hair to come back so the look can be complete:

You know, I may be a little "Out of Style", or "not trendy", but this is one "Far Out" "Rad" style that I will not be participating in.

Day Off

This is how I spent what felt like my only day off this week. It was beautiful weather, but a little too warm in the afternoon. The snow started to melt a little making it sort of a slush or Slurpee consistency. Not as fun as powder. Which led me to a difficult decision... is it better to snowboard in a white out where I have to cover every inch of exposed skin so it doesn't get frost bit and have a hard time seeing 10 feet in front of me and have my goggles fog up and it's freezing on the lift for great powder.... or go in the warm sunny weather with unlimited visibility for not as great snow (and having the fear of falling onto a hard icy surface)?

Hmmmm.....

I think I like the powder more.

Still Haven't Seen "Twilight" Yet

I still haven't seen Twilight even though I read all the 'meh' books. Although I do admit I am a bit curious as to how the movie portrays the characters in my head. When looking at all the Oscars Best Dressed/Worst Dressed lists this guy popped up:

Is it just me, or does this guy always look sorta constipated?

Twilight wasn't up for any Academy Awards right.... right?!?!

I'd Like to Sank the Academy

I missed the Academy Awards last night because I was stuck at work. Not that I go to many movies anyway. I think the only one I've seen that was up for something was "The Dark Night". But I did sorta get a kick out of this acceptance speech for Best Animated Short.

I Have Blogging Block

I know I haven't posted much lately. I've had some busy weeks recently. But hopefully I will be able to come up with some material by next week. Hopefully the blogging block will lift!

Husbands

I know in the blog world that everybody's husbands/significant others are "perfect". But realistically, if you are married, you are bound to get extremely frustrated or mad at your husband on occasion. So if you ever are feeling anger towards him, just remember... at least he is not:
