Thank You a la Jimmy Fallon

This video had me rolling! I love Jimmy Fallon's "Thank You Notes". Hilarious!

Thank You Notes, Jude Law, Abby Elliott, & Christmas Sweaters

This inspired me to think of all the things that I am thankful for. So in the spirit of Jimmy Fallon I would like to write my Thank You notes.

Thank You Angry Holiday Shoppers,

For truly bringing the holiday spirit to all those around you. You really inspire others to be full of Christmas Cheer. And thank you for turning left in front of me in the Mall parking lot, even though I had the right of way. And for honking your horn in anger like I was in the wrong when I tried to turn right before you, scaring me half to death. It really made me want to burst into holiday song. Merry freaking Christmas!

Thank You Junk E-mail,

For cluttering up my emails so severely that if I don't check my e-mail for a week, I will have over 200 new emails. I really love spending the time deleting each one and probably missing out on an important ones in the process. It is probably my favorite pass time.

Thank You Regular Junk Mail,

For cluttering up my real mailbox. I love looking at ads of stores that I never shop at and catalogs that I have not purchased from in over 3 years. And for taking up so much space that I have missed important mail such as bills and jury duty. I am so glad you were sent to me so I could fill up land fields with your uselessness.

Thank You Squished Bladder,

For waking me up in the middle of the night. I love spending the next hour trying to get back to sleep. And Thank You for giving me that wonderful feeling of urgency every time I stand up. It is so nice to need to run to the bathroom all the time. I really am looking forward to the time when I will become incontinent every time I laugh, cough, and sneeze.

Thank You Sciatic Nerve,

For the shooting pain you send down my leg. I love limping. It really adds to the "waddle" I already have.

Thank You Dry Eyes,

For making it nearly impossible to wear my contacts for more than 6 hours. I really love wearing my 5 year old glasses that I can barely see out of. And thank you Costco lady for the lecture on not spending money on new glasses because I am pregnant, even though I already talked to my ophthalmologist about it (AND HE GAVE ME A NEW PRESCRIPTION). I really think you know more than him. I guess not seeing is just another part of being pregnant.

Thank You Laundry,

For never being entirely done. Even if my entire house is clean, I know the vary clothes I am wearing is just another chore waiting to be done. And thank you dryer for never getting my clothes dry enough so I have to run two cycles. Just what I wanted to do ALL DAY LONG.... laundry.

Thank You Left-overs,

For being entirely gross. Why do I save you? I don't want to be wasteful, but I will not eat you. I didn't even like you that much when you were fresh. I am just creating more work for myself when I throw you away in a week and have to clean all my Tupperware. Plus you occasionally grow things that make me want to hurl. Should of just gotten rid of you in the first place!

And Thank You Jimmy Fallon... for giving me an outlet to vent!

MERRY CHRISTMAS from the Cannon's!

Since I didn't get the chance to take pictures and send holiday Christmas cards. Here is my Christmas Card blog style.

As the year comes to the end, it gives me the opportunity to reflect on what a fantastic year 2009 has been! It started off with some great snowboarding... and I even got Chris to like it more this year! I may even be able to coax him into going later next year!
Then was our big Vacation of the year to The Big Island, HI. It was the last of the Hawaiian islands that I had not been to yet. It was a great vacation as we got to see lava fields, volcano's, waterfalls, tropical fish, and relaxing at the beach. We thought we might as well take advantage of Chris's flight benefits while we still have them!
Right before Father's Day we found out that we were pregnant with our first! It is a very exciting time for our little family. I think my parents are way excited too since it will be their first grandchild. He make his debut around February 20th 2010.

(and he is already so cute!)

Chris:

Chris has been doing really well plugging along in school. In March he will have completed 2 years non-stop (except for 2 weeks off in June and 2 weeks in December). He is doing so well that his GPA is a 4.0 and he has made the Dean's list every semester. He has also been a fantastic husband. With my struggles being pregnant he has been great. Bringing me water after I puke, cleaning the house, taking care of the kitties, cleaning out their nasty litter box since I can't, putting up with priming and painting walls since I picked an awful paint color, and being the cook. I knew he was a caring man, but I realize more and more that I picked a great husband and I'm a lucky girl!

Ashes:

Although she is 15lb (massive really) we are grateful to have her. She has always been so playful (she drags around shoe laces that we call "her string" so we will play with her) and hates table scraps (except for beef jerky) so the fact that she is obese is a mystery to us. We even bought diet food (High fiber, low calorie) per the Vet's recommendations. It didn't work. But she can still jump! She some how can get all 15 pounds into the air when chasing after her string. We love our little butter ball Chewy! This is her favorite way to sleep:

Squeakers:

Named for her squeaky little meow that we thought would go away when she was older, but it hasn't. Squeakers is a little more mischievous. She likes to eat toilet paper rolls, especially the brand new used maybe once ones. She likes to take cotton balls (if she can find them) and put them in water and then fish them out. She used to put them in the toilet, but we have since altered our practices so the lid is always closed. But on occasion, we still step on a nasty wet cotton ball and want to scream! She also likes to flush the toilet. I guess she is fascinated by the noise it makes. Now if only she could go in it....

But she makes up for all of that because she is the cuddly and lovey one. She loves to cuddle up close to you and purr. And like Ashes, she also likes to sleep on her back. We have strange kitties!

Lisa:

I have be so blessed this year! Thanks to all of you and your support. I am so grateful to be pregnant and to be a mom, but pregnancy has been tough. It is no picnic, at least not for me. But I have had great family support, lots of prayers, and I couldn't be more blessed! I am still working at Primary Children's as a Registered Nurse. I am so grateful for a great job and the great people that I work with. I feel so blessed to work in a field where I get to help others and still get paid for it!

Baby Boy Cannon:

We are narrowing down names for him... but it still hasn't been decided. I think the final decision will be made after he arrives. His favorite past times are moving, kicking, and hiccuping. He likes sugar. He has to because that is all I crave. He has also been making me way hungry lately (Growth spurt maybe?) I could barely eat a slice of toast all day when I was first pregnant. Now I think I could eat 2 dinners! He is growing and growing and will probably be a big boy! We love him so much, and can't wait to lay eyes on our beautiful baby boy!!

Merry Christmas to all of you!!

(Hopefully next year I will have pictures and ACTUAL Christmas Cards!)

I just don't get it?

I don't get the obsession, especially in older women... but this had me laughing out loud!

Still haven't seen New Moon yet. But I'm always up for a good laugh.

I Don't Recommend...

....puking while driving.

I think it is as distracting as texting, making phone calls, putting on your makeup, and eating breakfast.

I just hope that the people on Foothill Boulevard weren't too grossed out if they witnessed this event.

(I really hope it was just something bad I ate last night over the pregnancy sickness coming back with full vengeance)

Brief Update

I know I have been a little MIA for awhile, but things have been busy, and I find myself away from the computer more and more.

The whole Thanksgiving weekend turned out to be a success. I got somebody to work on Thanksgiving day for me and the day after. (A big shout out to Teresa and Hon who are Thanksgiving ANGELS that pulled off this holiday miracle) We spent the day with Chris's family, but I still got to see and visit my family, and stay with my aunt and cousins.

I was able to make all my purchases for gifts on Black Friday, and nobody came out with injuries despite the craziness and complete chaos. Walmart was a nightmare x10! So crowded and overwhelming, but I still got what I wanted there! Plus I found some super cute (and super cheap) boy clothes at Babies R Us. So overall it was a success!

Getting the Nursery ready has been quite the battle between my work days, Chris's work days, Chris's school work, Chris getting sick, me being tired, going through all the stuff that we need to get rid of, picking out paint, priming walls, getting ready for Christmas.... there is just not enough time in a day!

But the Nursery is finally painted! At least we are making progress... slowly but surely!

I can't believe Christmas is coming so soon!!
