It was nice because as soon as we arrived everyone was so formal. Even the bell boy had a traditional suite and hat. They drove us to our cottage in a golf cart. Our balcany view was of the golf course. We ordered room service because we just wanted to relax and enjoy our stay. We laughed because this is something both of us have never done before. So we didn't know what to do with our dishes when we were done. We spent time in the jacuzzi that was a little on the warm side at 104 degrees! The cool breeze helped. And the bed was so nice. We didn't want to leave! I was gathering ideas for some day when I have my dream master suite. Anyway, it was a great place to spend our Anniversary celebration together!

The ABC's of ME
Hey. I enjoyed reading Nicoles and decided to fill this survey out. (even though I wasn't "tagged" technically)
A- Attached or Single? Happily married
B-Best Friend? Chris, Sara, and Katie all for different reasons!
C-Cake or pie? mmm Dulce de Leche Cheesecake from non other than the Cheesecake Factory.
D-Day of choice? I don't really have a favorite day of the week since I am a nurse I have the potential of working any day of the week, day or night. So my day of choice....my day off! :)
E-Essential Item? Chapstick
F-Favorite color? Blue or Chocolate Brown
G-Gummy bears or worms? Is there really a difference?
H-Home town? Sandy Utah
I-Favorite indulgence? Right now... pedicures... they don't cost that much.
J-January or July? hmm tough one. I normally hate January, but it is the best month to snowboard. And July is so hot, but BBQ's are so fun. I will say July but it just barely nudged out January.
K-Kids? Not yet. We have two kitties to help us learn patience and cleaning their poop.
L-Life isn't complete without? Family
M-Marriage date? May 25th 2006. It was the perfect day.
N-Number of brothers and sisters? 2 sisters
O-Oranges or Apples? Oranges
P-Phobias? Spiders...well really anything of the creepy-crawly nature. I hate bugs. I also have a mild fear of water, really deep water like being in the middle of the ocean.
Q-Quote? "Life isn't about the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away." "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger"
R-Reasons to smile? My funny husband, good family, health, good job, Chris is in school. There are a lot of good things in life
S-Season of choice? Spring
T-Tag 3 people: Sara, Jill, Lisa W.
U-Unknown fact about me? I can't eat anything that doesn't look right. Like the black ends on french fries. I can't do it. I rarely ever clean a plate... I always have a little garbage pile of things that didn't look quite right. I know it is lame, but true.
V-Vegetable? Green beans (only the fresh kind) or Edamame
W-Worst habit? I bite my nails, but it goes in phases of severity. I am doing good right now...my reward is if I don't bite them by the end of the week I am going to get a manicure with my pedicure!
X-Xray or Ultrasound? Umm kinda depends on what you are looking at/for, huge difference. Whoever made this up probably couldn't think of anything else for X. How about X-mas or Thanksgiving? But probably 98% of people would say Christmas.
Y-Your favorite food? Cheese...I love the stuff and anything associated with it.
Z-Zodiac sign: Taurus

I laughed so hard...I cried
Chris loves candy. He doesn't prefer dessert all that much, but the boy could eat candy all day. He especially loves fruity things like fruit roll-ups, fruit snacks, starburst, and gummy anything. So for our Anniversary I bought him a few of his favorite things, including strawberry fruit roll-ups.
When I was done on the computer yesterday, Chris was out in the front room watching TV. I walked into find him lying on the couch with the box of fruit roll-ups opened and fruit roll-up wrappers everywhere. He was really focused on whatever he was watching that I don't even know if he noticed I had walked in. I was like,"Honey, how many did you eat?" and he turned to me and in this little voice he said, "I don't know.....I blacked out." It struck me so funny that tears streamed down my face. Even when I think about it now I giggle. When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried?

Happy Anniversary to me!
Chris and I just had our two year anniversary today (well, May 25th. We stay up late). It was pretty low key because it is Sunday and Chris had to work. But we are having our "Anniversary Celebration" as Chris calls it on Tuesday. I know that two years isn't incredible amounts when you look at my grandparents who are at around 60 and my parents who are going to be 31 years this year. At least they are good examples. But I am so grateful to be married to my best friend and that we not only have had two wonderful years married, but three years before that. My favorite thing about him is that we laugh together everyday. He always knows how to make me smile. So here's to many more years and the rest of eternity.

Sea World
Last week Chris and I, and my cousin Katie and her husband Tedd went to San Diego. It was a nice get away. We flew
stand-by like always since both our husbands work at the airport. And let me tell you Stand-by flying is not for the weak of heart because it can be very nerve racking. However, we made smart choices on the flights so we were able to get there and home on the days we wanted.
I haven't been to Sea World since I was about eight. I love sea creatures and wanted to go. All the shows were pretty entertaining, little cheesy. My favorite was the Shamu/Killer Whale show with the trainers
flying through the air. There are also rides at Sea World. There was one that was like the Jurassic Park ride and Universal Studios where you get soaked. Unfortunately we went on that one at the beginning of the day. So everyone was soaked except me. (I brought a hoodie and covered myself during the big splash part.)
So we were done with the wet rides after that, and avoided the "soak" zones at all the shows. My suggestion if you attend Sea World is wear your SUNSCREEN, swimsuit, and go on a pretty warm day. Every attraction offers getting soaked and 80% of the park is outside. All of us initially forgot to wear sunscreen so we all ended up being red lobsters. My scalp got th
e worst of it. It is still flaking!
We also went to the Wild Animal Park. It is better then the zoo because all the animals are together (at least the ones that don't eat each other). All the African animals were together on this large stretch of land. We all piled into a safari-like train that goes around the land. So it was interesting. The lions had just had a bunch of cubs that were adorable.
We went to Old Town the last day which was CRAZY because everyone was celebrating Cinco de Mayo. But we ate some authentic Mexican food and did a little shopping. It was a very nice vacation.
