Getting Excited!
I am getting excited for Black Friday!!
I have gone every year since I was 15 with my aunt and cousins. It's tradition! And even though I am crazy to support this mad chaos of consumerism - especially when it starts around 4 am... I can't wait!! One more week. I almost had the misfortune of having to work on one of my favorite days of the year, but a sweet girl traded me. I owe her BIG TIME.
I have recently been addicted to this website which has given me access to all the ads before hand so I can already plan my purchases. God bless the Internet!
I know... I'm crazy.

Baby Shower!
We played a few games, here is where I had to guess all the baby items in the bag. (I did pretty good!)
And here I am with all the good stuff! I got lots of clothes, toys, a book and stuffed animal, a blanket with matching sheet, a cart insert for baby to sit, and my Boppy pillow! I am so grateful for my cute friends!
I've got quite a collection of clothes already! In other Cannon news, we have been trying to organize and get rid of a lot of things in order to re-paint, and re-carpet the nursery. It has been a long ordeal trying to haul things to DI and and the trash can. And between me working a lot, and Chris getting sick so much (he needs a better immune system before the baby comes!) it has been difficult. But hopefully we will paint in the next couple of weeks so we can get that carpet!

And here I am 25 weeks and feeling bigger every day!

Why I Hate Driving
So here is what was totally irritating me:
People who don't signal. I understand if you are in the middle of nowhere and you don't signal to move lanes because NOBODY would see you, therefore rendering it useless. But please don't just all of the sudden drift into my lane giving me no preparation so I then have to slam on my breaks to avoid rear ending you since it would be "my fault" costing me lots of money and my insurance premiums would increase. So next time... just let me know that you are coming over!
Running through an orange light. This means between a yellow and a red. Guess what... they put up a yellow light on purpose. When I was in San Fransisco, the second the light turns red, the opposing light turns green. SO if you ran it, you would likely get into an accident. But here in Utah, there is a delay between when the light turns red, and the opposing light turns green therefore training us all to run orange or even red lights. I too have been guilty of doing this on occasion. I blame the system. Whoever decided that making this delay would be safer, just created bad habits from us all!
Road block. I need to merge over so I don't miss my exit. However, Mr. Semi and Mr. Van are both going 45 mph and the car behind said Van is not letting me in (Even though I am signalling!) because he too is irritated at the road block created by Mr. Semi and Mr. Van. Just let me get over so I don't miss my exit!
Construction. I know they are improving the roads, but it is such a long process, and it seems as if the project is never complete. I think it is coming on 3 years that I-80 has been a mess! And it constantly changes so I never know what to expect. Is 13th east exit open or is it 7th east?
Thanks for the vent session :)
Happy Driving People!

I Feel Like I'm Getting Huge!
I know I am not massive.
And I know that I will only get bigger, and I have no idea what "huge" really is.
But just to give you an idea:

Thought of the Day: Jolly Ranchers
Which led me to think of the OTHER flavor... BLUE RASPBERRY. What exactly is a blue raspberry anyway? Are there such things as blue raspberries? I understand that they probably didn't want to make it red in case some idiot got confused with cherry and watermelon, but why BLUE!! It stains your mouth, tongue, and teeth blue...which isn't exactly attractive when you are taking care of somebody's baby. So I can understand why they are avoided.
Anyway, I miss the Lemon Jolly Rancher. So tart, yet so sweet, and lemony refreshing. If only they other ones came close...

Spoiled Already.
He is the first Grandchild on my side, and the 2nd on Chris's side. My sister-in-law already spoils our nephew a ton. So she got a jump start with our little guy! When we found out we were having a boy we went to Chris's mom's house to tell her and there was a present already there...

These will be great for those middle of the night diaper changes. No unbuttoning and re-snapping required! (I am terrible with snaps for some reason... and buttons... forget about it!)
There was also this adorable Air Jordan onesie, hat, and booties set. So she sort of kicked off the baby stuff since I hadn't bought a thing yet!
The day after we found out I decided to go to the fabric store and get some flannel to make baby blankets. We have lots of adorable flannel blankets that people have donated at my work. I thought... I could do that. I have minimal sewing skills, but figured I could sew a straight line with my sewing machine. (I bought one a few years ago when I was motivated to sew my own scrubs, but got so frustrated and figured buying them was cheaper anyway.) So I went to the fabric store and found two adorable fabrics. One being:

This adorable golf print was my first gander at the sewing project. I read online how to make simple blankets and followed the instructions. It said to wash the material in the washing machine and then sew the blanket. So that is what I did.
Little did I know that I should have used a delicate cycle. My adorable golf print had lint balls all over it and the edges were all frayed. I was so depressed, but was still able to salvage it enough to make a blanket. It's the thought that counts right?
So the second time around I didn't wash the material first. So I hope it survives it's first washing... But here it is along with the ADORABLE onesie and booties that my little sister got for her first nephew!!
She said, "You got to indoctrinate them early". Ha ha ha ha :) Hope he ends up being a Utah fan! Go Utes!
He is going to be one spoiled little boy!

Today: 24 weeks (and 3 days)
I have just ballooned in the past 6-7 weeks.
