Did you guess a cookie? Well your right... sort of.
BUT, They aren't just any ordinary cookie... They would be chocolate chip cookies WITHOUT the chocolate chips! It doesn't seem natural right?
Chris told me he was going to make some chocolate chip cookies. I was like, go right ahead. We have all the ingredients (including CHOCOLATE CHIPS!). So he went right ahead being all Betty Crocker. Then when they were done he brought one to me and I was like, "What is this!?". And he replied, "It's a chocolate chip cookie with out the chocolate chips." Naturally.
I mean it doesn't seem right... or fair... or whatever. The chocolate chips are like the BEST part. When you get a chocolate chip cookie and one bite doesn't have a chocolate chip you feel jipped. The more the merrier. In fact, my favorite cookie would be the Chocolate Chocolate Chip. So the fact that he left out the best part is rather disappointing.
I guess Chris has a special disliking for semi-sweet and dark chocolates so he developed a disliking for chocolate chips. (However, a key point, I did have MILK CHOCOLATE chips in the pantry.) But, he really likes the cookie part. And I guess he DID make them so I can't complain too much.
But the funny thing is... our sweet neighbor brought us some chocolate chip cookies the very next day. Guess which ones were consumed first? Ya, you guessed right. Chocolate always rules!

What a funny story!
Those cookies are wrong on so many levels.
Awww, at least he baked for you!
But chocolate is really optional in some recipies!
Nothing like good neighbors (with a bit of ESP)!
I love it! When Hannah was a newborn, she couldn't deal with me eating chocolate. So I made chocolate chip cookies without the chocolate chips, and they weren't even worth eating! I am so grateful she got through that phase quickly!
If you would have put those in front of me while I was on my cruise, I would have eaten them without even looking at them twice.
Now that I'm back home, and I can think clearly again, I can see that those are SO very wrong.
I can't believe that you and Chris have been together for as long as you have and you didn't know that he doesn't do chocolate chips. He's been that way since we were kids.
Well, that's what keeps a relationship interesting!!
