Sara carving!
I always feel slightly rusty at first, but got back into the groove of things pretty easily. It was snowing the majority of the time which makes for pretty good powder (At the top of Snake Creek... AMAZING) but it makes visibility difficult. Also, there was wind so the windchill factor was freezing! But worth it because of the great powder. We had one mishap where we were coming off the lift and the ramp was a little icy so Sara slipped and fell and I tripped over her board and landed on top of her. She got some whip lash and I have a large bruise on my left thigh that kills! Which of course I need to announce to everyone around me every time I bump it, or sit down, or in any way reminded that I still have it.
After the snowboarding extravaganza, Sara, Chris, and I went to get our Christmas presents at the AT&T store. That's right... we all got iPhones! I had been thinking about getting one since the moment they came out. Then Sara really wanted to get one. So last month we had finally decided that we were going to do it, and the AT&T store said... "Oh, you're not due for an upgrade until December 15th" (my TWO year contract ends in April). The fact that I have been with AT&T/Cingular/AT&T for 6 years counts for NOTHING. So we had to wait. And while we waited, Chris decided he really wanted one too. So we determined that would be our Christmas presents.
And I must say, this phone is AWESOME. It does so much more than my other phone! And the Internet really does look like the Internet. I can check my blog and read others right from my phone! Plus having my clock, calender, music, GPS, phone, email, text, games, camera, etc. is great!! I only have to have this and my wallet in my purse instead of my ipod, camera, palm pilot. Needless to say... I am a fan.Merry Christmas!

I am jealous of the phone!
I have been with TMobile for years. In fact, they sent me a letter saying we're in their Top 5% of customers, and we get a free companion flight to be used anywhere in the US expect for Hawaii.
Oooh, pretty phone. Those things are pretty dang cool.
And I'm glad you had fun snowboarding!
Jealous of the phone! I want one too!
And if I didn't work during the week, I would totally go with you. But not on a day like the one you and Sara went out on! I'm a fair-weather gal. Only if the sun is out will I go! That wind chills me to the bone!
I am not so jealous of the snowboarding....brrr that looks cold and I am a wimp!
BUT the phone on the other hand.....looks amazing! How fun. I heard you can get ebooks on those phones and sit and read....drooling over that possibility.
Merry Christmas!
i am glad that you got to get out and enjoy the powder, i can't tell you how hard it is to have a beautiful ski day and not be able to go up.
I love the iphone! It is so darn awesome! It is life transforming and it makes me wonder how people function on other phones. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Merry Christmas to Lisa Homer Cannon!
BTW I'm going to be hitting the slopes again over Christmas with my brother. Hopefully I improve. And hopefully there is powder because it was as hard as concrete when we went last weekend.
You are so brave to go snowboarding on such a cold day! I'm a wuss and never got into boarding for the lame fact that I just hate to be cold!haha I'd go with Chan and end up in the lodge the entire time :)
Wow, those snowboarding pictures reminded me of the bruises I got when I went. LOL
But I love the phone!
Hey, did I leave you some cupcakes?
I got home and kind of panicked that I didn't leave some for you and Chris...
Anyway, hopefully I did! If not, I'm sorry!
Thanks for hosting our girls night! It was so much fun and your home is BEAUTIFUL!
Matt loves his iPhone too! You will love it. Looks like you had fun snowboarding. I don't think I will get out this season- so I am jealous. Have fun out there!
