Our "Humble" Tree

I bought our Christmas Tree 2 years ago at a Black Friday sale for $20. It is thin, has some bare patches through it that requires massive "fluffing" of the fake branches, and is a little lopsided. Last year, our cats liked to climb and perch in it.

Even though it is pre-lit and 6 feet tall, it is a little lacking in bushiness. And the tree skirt I sewed with great skill (i.e. cut a circle by eying it, and then hemming it rather thinly so the edges curl up) from some fabric I picked up on a discount at the local fabric store. I spent more money on the ornaments, then I did on the tree itself. I told Chris it is a "humble" tree. He told me that humble translated into "weak sauce".

But my "weak sauce" tree is perfect for our little condo since it doesn't take up a lot of space, and has brought some holiday cheer into our living room.

I'm jealous of your humble tree! I have no tree at all!

Actually, I think the thinner trees are in right now, aren't they? I think it looks good.

Your tree is beautiful!
And for the record, Charlie Brown x-mas trees are the best.
We have one!
